SHARE (SHared Access Research Ecosystem, http://www.share-research.org/) is a higher education initiative whose mission is to maximize research impact by making research widely accessible, discoverable, and reusable. To fulfill this mission SHARE is building a free, open, data set about research and scholarly activities across their life cycle. The initiative is led by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and the Center for Open Science (COS) with the support of the Association of American Universities (AAU) and the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU). In this session, Kelly Thompson, a member of the first cohort of SHARE Curation Associates (2016-2017), will help you understand what SHARE is, what services it currently provides that your library can leverage, and how your institution can participate and broaden the reach of your institution’s research by registering your repository and contributing your metadata to the community dataset.
